How to fly drones? If that’s your question, our WSQ Drone Photography Course teaches learners to operate drones specifically for aerial photography & videography and align learners with the relevant regulations.
Drone photography & videography has become highly relevant. As drones become cheaper and more versatile through the years, aerial photography and videography with drones have also become easier to carry out as compared to more traditional modes of aerial videography.
Increasingly, companies across many industry sectors are learning and looking to grow in-house capabilities in drone photography and videography so that they can take videos and pictures serving a multitude of corporate purposes without having to engage expensive cost of vendors.
At the end of the course/class, participants should be able to:
- Explain the principles and regulations for drone flying in Singapore
- Explain the features and functions of different types of drones and mounted cameras used in aerial photography and videography
- Set up and operate a drone for photography and videography purposes
- Apply aerial cinematography techniques in enhancing footage captured using the drone
- Interpret detailed shot and flight plans to determine production styles and technical requirements
- Comply with necessary local aviation and safety regulations and guidelines for the aerial shoot
- Get certified (passed certification) to be an operator

- Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
- From 1 October 2023, all attendance taking for SkillsFuture Singapore’s (SSG) funded courses must be done digitally via the Singpass App. This applies to both physical and synchronous e-learning courses
- Trainee must achieve at least 75% attendance
- Trainee must pass all prescribed tests / assessments, and attain 100% competency
- We reserve the right to claw back the funded amount from trainee if he/she did not meet the eligibility criteria

SkillsFuture Credit:
- Eligible Singapore Citizens can use their SkillsFuture Credit to offset course fee payable after funding.
UTAP:
- This course is eligible for Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP).
- NTUC members can enjoy up to 50% funding (capped at $250 per year) under UTAP.
Company Sponsored TraineeÂ
Absentee Payroll (AP) Funding:
- $4.50 per hour, capped at $100,000 per enterprise per calendar year.
- AP funding will be computed based on the actual number of training hours attended by the trainee.
